The adoption of UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 has been a strategic choice of the Top Management for increasing effectiveness and efficiency of its Integrated Management System – Environment and Safety. The methodology known as PDCA [Plan-Do-Check-Act] (plan, implement, check, act) this methodology PDCA can be briefly described as follows
- Plan: establish the objectives and processes necessary to deliver results in accordance with the organization’s environmental policy.
- Do: implement the processes.
- Check: monitor and measure processes against environmental policy, objectives and targets, the legal requirements and other requirements, and report the results.
- Act: take actions to continually improve the performance of the environmental management system.
The setting and the subsequent implementation of a company in integrated management system in compliance with UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 involves a significant commitment to the continuous improvement of its organization in order to improve their environmental performance
