VIAR S.P.A. is able to perform finite element analysis, in accordance with ASME VIII, European Standards. VIAR S.P.A. takes care of all the production phases, starting from the design and calculations up to the final testing.
BUCKLE ARRESTOR
Buckle arrestor is a forged subsea component installed at regular interval along the pipe line in order to stop a propagating collapse failure.
J-LAY COLLAR
J-LAY COLLAR is a forged component used to grip the pipe in order to install subsea pipeline in deep water using J-LAY system. It can be also used as a Buckle arrestor.
PIGGABLE WYE
PIGGABLE WYE is a butt weld forged fittings that joints the pipe line and permits the passing of a pig cleaner using a 30° angle between the header and branch line. The PIGGABLE WYE is available in two configurations: symmetric and asymmetric.
WELDING NECK FLANGE SWIVEL RING FLANGE
WELDING NECK FLANGE is a non-permanent coupling by means bolts and nuts. Dimensions of WELDING NECK FLANGE can be in accordance with ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47, API 6A, API 17D, European codes, JIS, DIN, SAE or on customer’s drawing. The seal is guaranteed by ring joint or spiral wound gasket.
SUBSEA ANCHOR FLANGE
ANCHOR FLANGE/HANGER FLANGE are butt weld forged components used to anchor the pipeline in order to contrast thrust forces. Usually ANCHOR FLANGE is embedded in concrete, instead the HANGER FLANGE is bound to a clamp.
BARRED TEE
BARRED TEE is a butt weld forged fitting with integral bars used in pigging lines in order to prevent the passing through branch pipe of the pig cleaner. Bars are made integral in order to avoid heat affected zone near crotch , the most stressed zone. On customer’s request bars can’t be integral or butt welded on tee. BARRED TEE is a butt weld forged fitting used in pigging lines in order to allow the passing of PIG (Pipeline Inspection Gauge). VIAR’s regular design considers forged bars as integral part of the BARRED TEE in order to avoid heat affected zone near crotch , the most stressed zone. On customer’s request bars can welded on tee.
SWIVEL RING FLANGE
SWIVEL RING FLANGE has the same field of use of the WELDING NECK FLANGE, but it is composed by a butt weld hub with a rotary ring which allows an easier installation (typically for sub-sea installation) . Dimensions of SWIVEL RING FLANGE match the related WELDING NECK FLANGE. The seal is guaranteed by ring joint or spiral wound gasket.
COMPACT WN FLANGE
COMPACT WN FLANGE has the same field of use of the WELDING NECK FLANGE, but offering less weight and save of space compared to a standard ASME B16.5 flanges. Dimensions of COMPACT FLANGE can be in accordance with NORSOK L005 code. Special design of COMPACT WN FLANGE can be performed by VIAR.
